The television and film industry is very demanding. It's an industry where there is always something new to learn. With my aspiration to get into the TV industry, I feel I still have a lot more to learn before I reach the top. I already carry quite a few core skills to fit into the sort of working environment I hope to be in, in the future.

HELLO, I'M BEN TEW AND WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE . . .

Firstly, a little bit about me - I am 24 years old and a recent BSc (Hons) Television & Broadcasting graduate at the University of Portsmouth - currently residing on the South Coast in Havant, Hampshire.
​
I am currently working full time as a 'Broadcast Engineer' within live television at Gravity Media in London. I have also worked at Portsmouth Football Club as a camera operator and vision mixer during my time at university, also assisting them in content creation for their social platforms, including concept development and execution of an as-live pre-match show format designed for the fans to watch inside of the stadium.

My passion for camera operating, tv and sport has been alive for quite some time, and now I am determined to turn that passion into a lifelong career. From starting off as just a college student playing around with a camera, to now where I am looking to push further into the industry. I am a hard-working, motivated individual, and my confidence has grown substantially over the last few years through my industry experiences. I have ensured that I have made an impact wherever I have worked. I have predominantly worked within live sport outside-broadcasts, and with that comes a high level of unpredictability which makes the job even more exciting and not knowing what challenges you will face next. As I look to push further into the industry, I want to take on new challenges and learn from the very best and show what I am capable of.

I am eager to continue growing my skills and knowledge by seeking new work opportunities both as freelance or permanently, working in different roles to make my skills and knowledge as expansive as possible and allowing me to fit into any working environment that I am put in. Being an adventurous individual with a passion for travel - I am looking to pursue work both within the UK or internationally in order to explore as much of the world as I can!
